Next to and joined to Littleton North in Staines, this venue also holds some very big Bream and Tench possibly of record size. There are two parking areas one being on the river bank and one on the far side.
Little South is very deep in parts and normally gin clear. Huge weed beds come up around the lake, fishing in-between the shoulders of weed is a very good area as all the fish love being in or around the weed. It has a good stock of very large carp, with Mirrors & Commons possibly over 40lb, the carp mostly coming our at night but with patience can be stalked during the day.
Both North and South lakes have produced double figure bream around the 10lb–16lb mark although the average would be around 8lb–9lb. Both lakes have again produced double figure tench, the South’s best was 12lb and the North 13lb. The best confirmed carp captures are of a 36lb common and a 36lb linear, which have not been out in a while. There have been rumors of a couple of 40’s but nothing confirmed. Certainly a venue for the more adventurous angler who likes the odd surprise.
There is a single ticket option for this venue, for a fee of £175 per season, you have access to Little North, Little South and Devils Lane. This venue can also be fished when purchasing the Gold Ticket.
– The only access to the lakes is via the Thames side of the lakes.
– There is no access through the works on the North lake and there’s no access to the south lake via Littleton Lane.
We do not have a close season on this venue; however, please expect swim/lake closures while the fish are spawning. Feel free to contact us before you travel to the lakes to ensure they are open as usual.
